The picture shows the bag with hip belt attached. A hip belt is something that is a must to remove some of the load from the shoulder when carrying this bag without a freighter frame. There are 5 cm wide webbing both on the upper and lower parts of the back in order to protect the bag when carrying it on a freighter frame.

Note the red zippertabs that makes it much easier to get into the bag and to close it afterwards.
