This picture shows how the carrying strap is attached and some detail of the connection of the hip belt. Note the reinforcement webbing that is sewn as a diagonal across the side. When the bag is hanging on the freighter frame this causes strong forces to act along this line. If this is not reinforced it will as time goes make the bag sag and be more prone to leaking.
